A Foundation of Faith
Easy to spot by its stark white façade and bold cross rising high into the air, the Corolla Chapel is located at 1136 Corolla Village Road. This interdenominational church is one of Corolla’s most historic icons and continues to open its doors to worshippers on a weekly basis. Originally built in 1885, the Corolla Chapel can be found tucked away just behind the Currituck Beach Lighthouse both of which are incorporated into historic Corolla Village. While the original sanctuary was found just across the street, it was moved to join new construction in 2002 in order to accommodate a growing congregation while holding onto historical roots.
