Welcome to Island Girl, a beautiful home that has everything you need to enjoy your time at the OBX with family and friends. Located on a quiet cul-de-sac in the private, gated community of Buck Island. Guests at Buck Island have access to a subdivision Olympic-size pool, playground and tennis and basketball courts. Throughout your stay, visit the Currituck Lighthouse, tour the Currituck Heritage Park, play golf at The Currituck Club course or venture to the four-wheel drive beaches of Carova to see the famous wild horses. 

Ground Level: Exterior amenities include a fully gated private pool with lounge seating and an outside shower. Inside you'll find a Rec Room with Queen Sleep Sofa, flat-screen TV, foosball, collection of children's games and puzzles and a wet bar with sink, microwave and full size refrigerator.  Queen Bedroom, 2 full bathrooms and the laundry area with washer and dryer.

Mid Level: King Master Bedroom with full private bathroom with dual vanity and a flat-screen TV. Queen Bedroom that shares a full hallway bathroom with a bedroom with 2 Singles. Den with TV and comfortable seating for good conversation or quiet reading time. All bedrooms and the den have doors to the wraparound deck with hot tub, porch furniture, swing and stairwell to pool.

Top Level: There's plenty of  room to gather in the Great Room/Kitchen with abundant natural light, brand new floors, high ceilings, plush seating, flat-screen TV, half bath and access to a furnished sun deck with gas grill and furnished screened-in porch. The newly renovated kitchen overlooks the great room offering new stainless-steel appliances, 2 dishwashers, dining room seating for 12 and casual seating for 3 at the island. Steps lead up the the ship's loft with desk and seating. King Master Bedroom with new floors, flat-screen TV, private bathroom with dual vanity and whirlpool tub and private access to screened-in porch and deck.

Linens and towels provided at no additional cost. This home will provide sheets for all beds and the beds will be made with the exception of sleep sofas, top bunks and trundle beds in which case the sheets are provided. This home also provides 1 bath towel and 1 wash cloth per person the house sleeps, 2 hand towels per full bathroom, 1 hand towel per half bathroom and a bath mat for each shower or tub.

Booking: After booking, you will receive an email with instructions to electronically sign your lease agreement and make your online payment within 3 days, to avoid cancellation. During the booking process you will be asked to enter a credit card number, nothing will be charged to this card. We offer optional travel insurance as well as other optional fees that you can opt in or out of on your lease agreement. Your final payment will be due 30 days prior to arrival. *Reservations booked within 45 days of arrival will have 3 days to sign the lease agreement and submit payment in full.

We have been coming to the Outer Banks for 15 years. Out of those 15 we have rented Island Girl 3x's (the second time there was an issue that was out of the owners control so we had to make other arrangements) we keep coming back to island girl. It has very amenity we look, for very spacious, decor is up to date, private beach with life guards, easy walk to Tim Buck II and Food Lion, I cant say enough good things about Island Girl, you must experience it yourself!

Tastefully decorated beach house with all the amenities needed for a perfect family vacation. Two dishwashers was a nice bonus. Easy walk to the beach and the Food Lion, as well as shopping across the street at Timbuck 2. Pool was nice and clean. Could use some updated pool furniture including a table and umbrella.

Island Girl was a great home to stay in. The house is very comfortable, beautifully decorated and had all the amenities we needed for a great vacation. We hope the owner has plans to upgrades to the decking and pool for the 2017 season. Having stayed in Buck Island before we knew the proximity to shopping, restaurants and the beach was a perk of this rental home.

This house was by far the nicest home we have ever rented in the 25 + years we have been vacationing in the OBX! Lots of room to spread out, both inside and outside the home. It is an easy walk to the beach and Buck Island is a lovely community! We will rent here again or in this community for sure.

  • Items left on the beach or under/on walkways to beach after sunset are subject to confiscation. Please take all beach gear back to your rental each night
