You've just found your new favorite beach house! All is Whelk is a semi-oceanfront home located only 100 yards from the beach and is conveniently located to all Avon Village has to offer. All is Whelk boasts 4 spacious bedrooms, a hot tub, access to Kinnakeet Shores Community Pool & Tennis, and expansive ocean views.

Ground Level: Ground Level Amenities include a private driveway for parking up to 6 vehicles, a charcoal grill, an outdoor shower, a community pool and tennis courts, and 300 feet of shared beach access.

Mid Level: As you enter the home, you will find all four bedrooms with Smart TVs, a laundry area, and a covered hot tub area. Bedroom #1 is a King bedroom that shares access to a spacious jack-n-jill full bathroom with Bedroom #2, a Queen Bedroom. Bedroom #3 is furnished with a King bed and Bedroom #4 is furnished with a Twin and Full bed-- both bedrooms share another bathroom off the hallway.

Top Level: As you make your way to the top floor, you are greeted by stunning ocean views from all areas of the Great Room. Enjoy the Smart TV and PlayStation 2 in the living room. The chef’s kitchen is equipped with stainless steel appliances, plenty of cookware to prepare today’s catch, a breakfast bar that seats 4, and a dining area that seats 6. You will also find a wet bar with a mini fridge, sink, and seating for 3. A half bathroom is also located on this level as well as a pool table in the game room located off the dining area. Step outside to the furnished sun deck to watch the sunrise with your morning coffee or stargaze after a long day in the sun.

Extras: Access to Kinnakeet Shores Community Pool & Tennis, hot tub, 5 flat screen Smart TVs, WiFi, traditional coffee maker, charcoal grill, deck furniture, outdoor shower, and a pool table. No Smoking/Vaping. No Pets. Distance to beach access: 300 feet. Beds: 2 King, 1 Queen, 1 Full, 1 Twin. Key Type: Keyless Entry. Check-in Location: At the property.

You will have access to Kinnakeet Shores Resort amenities. Kinnakeet Shores is the largest planned community on Hatteras Island. This resort-style community boasts an impressive array of amenities including 69 acres of freshwater lakes, an outdoor Olympic-sized pool with extensive sun decks, and two Har-Tru tennis courts. All is Whelk has exclusive access to the Kinnakeet Community Pool and Tennis Courts located in Avon. Kinnakeet Shores Community Pool is open from Memorial Day to the last Saturday in September.

Linens and towels are provided are year. This home will provide sheets for all beds and the beds will be made except for sleep sofas, top bunks, and trundle beds in which case the sheets are provided. This home also provides 1 bath towel and 1 wash cloth per person the house sleeps, 2 hand towels per full bathroom, 1 hand towel per half bathroom, and a bath mat for each shower or tub.

Booking: During the booking process you will be asked to enter a credit card number, nothing will be charged to this card. After booking, you will receive an email to sign your lease agreement and make your advance payment electronically. You will have 3 days to sign your lease agreement and pay your advance deposit to avoid cancellation. We offer optional travel insurance that you can opt in or out of on your lease agreement. Your final payment will be due 30 days prior to arrival. Reservations booked within 45 days of arrival will have 72 hours to sign the lease agreement and submit payment in full.

Loved our time at All is Whelk

My husband and I stayed at All is Whelk with his parents (in their 70s) and our 3 teens in August. The view from the main living/dining/kitchen floor is just gorgeous. The house was clean, bright, had a well stocked kitchen and the living area layout is great. We love that it had a pool table right in the main living area too. We did some puzzles, read some books and felt very at home! The bedrooms were comfortable and the location is convenient (close to Food Lion and shopping center as well as the drive-on beach access). The walkway to the beach was right across the street, and the street itself is very quiet and residential. The Kona Ice truck made a regular appearance and always drew a crowd. :) For the older crowd: My husband's parents were happy about the second set of stairs being an interior stair, which was helpful for older, less steady legs and the exterior stairs weren't too steep or overwhelming either.All in all, a very relaxing vacation in a very comfortable and beautiful place :)

Excellent stay on OBX

Our vacation at All is Whelk was perfect but for one problem. It was minor but annoying. Each bedroom was supposed to have a smart TV; however, one king bedroom had a non-functioning TV. A call placed for a fix was tended in a timely manner by two different techs. However, neither smart TV tech could resolve the problem. My recommendation would be to buy a new smart working TV for that bedroom. Would stay again if the above problem is fixed. There are many rentals in OBX without flaws that compete for our dollars!

Overall, lovely experience at the 'All is Whelk' property. Steps away from the beach, set in a quiet neighborhood, was everything our family was looking for. Grocery store a bike ride away, as well as the delicious Duck Donuts! Our free beach gear was dropped off promptly, which was a great add on offered through Shore Details. In addition to the pool club pass, which was a short walk away. The Shore Details staff was accessible via phone, or email it was that easy. They replaced our outdoor shower head in a few hours per our request!

We loved our stay at 'All is Whelk'. The house was clean when we arrived, the ocean view was beautiful, the path to the beach was right across the street, and there were restaurants and stores just minutes away. The house is decorated well and the kitchen is fully stocked. I only give it four stars because the internet was out from Wednesday through Saturday, which made the smart TV's unusable. We called, but they were unable to resolve the issue. Otherwise, everything about the house was perfect for our family. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Our family of 8 spent a week in August at this house and thoroughly enjoyed our time! It is an incredibly convenient location - with a direct walk across the street to the beach and easy access to the stores and restaurants in Avon. Everything was clean and as advertised, and check-in was very easy. The pool table was a big hit with everyone. Highly recommended!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 'All is Whelk'. It was a perfect for 4 adults and 2 kids. The home is not overly decorated but that’s a good thing. Very safe and kid friendly. The outdoor shower made it very easy to clean off returning from the beach and the mini fridge and bar upstairs made it easy to entertain. Kitchen was very well stocked with all the utensils you would need. Our first stay at the Outer Banks and the beach access was right across the road.

This property is directly across from a wooden walkway for beach access. Extremely convenient for beach goers. Although it was not mentioned in the description, there were 2 beach chairs and plenty of sand toys available. The house was spotless upon our arrival, beds were made, there was plenty of bath towels for everyone. Most everything you would need is there. The only thing you may want bring along or rent as we did is beach towels for everyone.

House was clean, comfortable and furnished nicely. Fantastic view from the living level! Linens and towels were good quality, clean and fresh. Beds were very comfortable and loved how the bedrooms all had ceiling fans. It was really hot the week we were there, so the hot tub was only used once. The teens enjoyed the pool table and loved the outdoor shower. We thought since the listing mentioned a grill, that it was a gas grill, but it's charcoal. We made it work for the few times we needed to use it. The only thing I would suggest providing for renters would be beach chairs. I know they can be rented, but it would have been nice for a few to be provided with the house, especially with the close proximity to the beach. One other thing, no fault of anyone...there was a water main break at the edge of the driveway during our stay. I called Shore Details and they made sure it was taken care of right away by the appropriate town personnel. Overall, a great week away. Thank you!
